# How Much Social Security Will I Get > Free Social Security calculators: your monthly benefit at every age from 62 to 70, worked out with SSA’s published formula and figures, with guides to claiming, spouses and survivors, state taxes and the 2027 COLA. An independent website: it is not the Social Security Administration (SSA), not a government website, and not run by, endorsed by or connected with SSA, the IRS or any other agency. Published by PVV Media Technologies, Newton, Iowa. Free, with no advertising; it sells nothing and gives no legal, tax or financial advice. Applying for Social Security is free with SSA. The estimates use SSA’s published formula and figures: the national average wage index, the highest 35 years of indexed earnings averaged into the AIME, the PIA formula and its bend points, every cost-of-living adjustment (COLA), and the reductions and credits for the age benefits start. They reproduce SSA’s own worked examples to the cent. A reader’s exact benefit is in their record at [my Social Security](https://www.ssa.gov/myaccount/). The calculators run in the reader’s browser; an earnings record pasted into the estimator never leaves the browser and is never stored. Without the page’s script, a calculator’s button sends its boxes (never the earnings record) in the body of the request, not the address, and nothing is kept. Figures for 2027, from SSA (checked October 29, 2026): - Cost-of-living adjustment for 2027: 3.6%, announced October 14, 2026 for about 76 million people; Social Security benefits rise from the payment for December, paid in January 2027, and SSI from December 31, 2026.
